SURFRIDER FOUNDATION / SKYE KSANDER SCHOLARSHIPS

We've sponsored a $500 scholarship at the University of California at Santa Cruz and a $500 scholarship at Cabrillo College for the past five academic years.

This program was originally established by contributions of the family and friends of Skye Ksander, local surfer and student, in honor of his desire to further the work of Surfrider. Both awards are offered to students in good standing in the fields of marine science, near-shore and coastal ecology, and environmental planning. As part of our Foundation's educational goals, we believe there is a vital need to support environmental education at all levels and to help create environmental awareness in future generations.

We strongly desire to continue this program, and will be most pleased to accept donations to the scholarship fund. Such donations will be specifically reserved for this use.
