Remember, it's your coast, and it's irrepaceable! The Santa Cruz chapter has a committee of volunteers interested in a wide variety of coastal issues that develop from time to time along our coast. Often we may need to know what's happening on a particular item, simply to keep our general membership informed and to have accurate information available with which to respond to public questions.

We are often seen, by the public and our membership, as a source of information on many coastal topics. At other times, as we follow the process of proposed developments or projects or land-use or marine use changes, we may find it necessary to take a chapter postion on a given issue and to speak out in public at appropriate times. In particular, we need help with attending various meetings throughout the Santa Cruz area to represent Surfrider and our chapter and to keep us "in the loop".
