Hands Across the Sand

When/Where: Cowell’s Beach Santa Cruz,  @ 12 NOON on June 26th , 2010

Hands Across the Sand is an international movement made of people of all walks of life and crosses political affiliations. Iit is about protection of our coastal economies, oceans, marine wildlife, and fishing industry. So let’s share our knowledge, energies and passion for protecting all of the above from the devastating effects of oil drilling!

Come WEARING BLACK to symbolize tar balls on the beach and to make our “line in the sand”. Cowell’s Beach is located in front of The Dream Inn on the right side of the Santa Cruz wharf close to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Come show your support for our Oceans. Come join hands with Surfrider of Santa Cruz, we will be connecting with  friends and family on the sand around 11:45am be ready to join hands @ 12:00 Noon for 15 minutes…  Take your stand by forming a line on our sand AGAINST OIL DRILLING in our coastal waters… NO OFFSHORE OIL DRILLINGYES TO CLEAN ENERGY!

A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD:

Hands Across the Sand is is a peaceful gathering of the people of the world. We will meet at Cowell’s Beach on June 26 at 11 am, forming lines in the sand. At 12:00, we wll join hands to create a powerful image.

The message is simple. NO to Offshore Oil Drilling, YES to Clean Energy!
